My Breakfast Nook (A Little Corner I’ve Always Wanted)
I have always wanted a breakfast nook. One of those cozy little spots where you actually want to sit, even if it is just for coffee or a quick meal. When we finally created one in our home, I wanted it to feel comfortable and lived in, not overly styled or formal.
This nook ended up being one of my favorite spaces in the house, and we use it every single day.

The Banquette Seating (DIY Friendly)
The banquette seating is one of the most asked-about parts of this space. My husband built it himself by watching YouTube tutorials. Neither of us are professionals, but it really was more DIY-friendly than we expected. It took time and patience, but nothing felt overly complicated.
Built-in seating made the nook feel intentional and also helped maximize the space. Once we added cushions and pillows, it instantly felt cozy and practical for everyday life.
The Round Table and Chairs
I knew I wanted a round table here. It keeps the space feeling open and makes it easier to gather around. I found this round dining table from Temu and it worked perfectly for our nook.
For anyone who prefers Amazon, I am also linking a similar round dining table on Amazon that gives the same overall look.
The chairs are also from Temu, but since many of you like shopping through Amazon, I am linking similar cane dining chairs on Amazon. I love the texture the cane adds and how the warm wood tones balance the space.

The Chandelier
The chandelier is what really pulled the whole nook together. I chose a Studio McGee chandelier from Target, and it adds such a soft, warm glow over the table. The shape works beautifully with a round table and feels classic without being boring.
I am linking the exact Studio McGee chandelier from Target through LTK below.
Lighting makes such a difference, even in small spaces, and this one made the nook feel finished.

Placemats and Pillows
The woven placemats keep things simple and practical while adding texture. They are easy to wipe down and easy to swap out if I ever want to change things up.
The yellow pinstripe pillow covers are from Amazon as are the pillow covers with the yellow floral pattern (is it floral? I honestly don’t know what to call this pattern! If you know, please comment and tell me down below. I love using pillow covers to decorate. They are such a simple way to bring in color and pattern without committing to anything permanent.
The Artwork and Gallery Wall
The artwork behind the breakfast nook is a mix of pieces I have collected over time. Some were thrifted, some came from tag sales, some were DIY, and a few came from big box stores like Hobby Lobby. I love mixing old and new because it keeps things from feeling too planned or perfect.
For anyone who wants a similar look, I am linking Amazon artwork that gives the same vintage and collected feel.

A Space That Gets Used
This breakfast nook is not meant to be perfect. It is meant to be used. We sit here every day, and that is what makes it one of my favorite spaces in our home.
If you have always wanted a breakfast nook but felt unsure about it, I hope this shows that it can be simple, budget-friendly, and totally doable.
