Sage Green Kitchen: From Drab to Dreamy

Transforming My Kitchen

When I first looked at my kitchen, I knew it had potential, but it needed a serious facelift. Over time, I’ve been able to make several upgrades that have completely transformed the space. I always wanted a sage green kitchen and I’m excited to share the details of this transformation with you, including the products that made it all possible. If you’re thinking of upgrading your kitchen, you’ll find inspiration here!

Before the Transformation

As you can see, my kitchen was functional but far from the cozy, inviting space I envisioned. The dark, outdated cabinets, plain countertops, and lackluster hardware made the room feel uninspired.

The Transformation Process

The first thing I tackled was painting the cabinets. I chose Sage Green Light by Sherwin Williams, which instantly brightened the room and gave it a fresh, modern look. Next, I installed new Thinscape countertops in Calcutta Blanc. These not only added a touch of elegance but also provided a durable and easy-to-maintain surface.

Another significant change was updating the hardware. I added this hardware that complemented the sage green cabinets perfectly. For a cohesive look, I also swapped out the faucet and sink, adding a sleek, polished feel to the kitchen.

We also changed the grout color from black to white using this grout colorant product, which instantly brightened the room and gave the entire space a cleaner look.

To finish the look of this sage green kitchen, I added beadboard paneling, which gives the kitchen a bit of a vintage charm, and updated the flooring with LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) for a durable yet stylish finish. Finally, I installed these roman shades that add a touch of elegance and are functional too, allowing just the right amount of light to filter through.

The transformation is nothing short of amazing! The kitchen now feels light, airy, and incredibly inviting. The new barstools perfectly complement the island, making it a comfortable place to gather. And don’t forget about the sconce lighting – it adds a warm glow to the space, making it feel even cozier.
